World Youth Championships: Armenia’s Mamikon Gharibyan, Robert Piliposyan Play 7th Round in Rapid Chess


The World Junior U20 Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship 2023 is being held in Italy from October 10 to 15.

The rapid chess championship is held from October 10 to 12 in 11 rounds.

The blitz chess championship is played from October 14 to 15 in 11 rounds.

Armenia is represented by Mamikon Gharibyan and Robert Philiposyan at the World Youth Chess Championships being held in Italy.

After the seventh round of the rapid chess competition, Piliposyan shares the fifth to seventh places, with 5 points, and Gharibyan—the eighth-thirteenth places, with 4.5 points.

Tobias Koelle (Germany) is the current sole leader, with 6.5 points.

There are four rounds left in the rapid chess competition.

The blitz chess championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
