A regular meeting of the Central Election Commission has been held under the chairmanship of Mazahir Panahov.
The protocols of the Commission`s meetings held on October 18 and 20, 2023, as well as December 8, 2023, were approved.
The Commission addressed the issue of establishing new polling stations for specific constituencies. To safeguard the electoral rights of numerous voters relocated to the liberated territories and engaged in long-term construction projects, in compliance with the legislation and the Electoral Code requirements, it was imperative to establish new polling stations through the district election commissions of the relevant constituencies.
The meeting featured the organization of awareness events regarding the election. In alignment with the “National Program for Action to raise effectiveness of the protection of human rights and freedoms in the Republic of Azerbaijan” and the Electoral Code approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 27, 2011, a decision was made to implement an extensive enlightenment program for voters.
The meeting, extensively covered by media representatives, also discussed changes made to the composition of the district election commissions for certain constituencies.
