Ararat Mirzoyan Presents to Slovakia Colleague Armenia Approaches to Peace Process


Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday met with Slovakian Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar in Brussels, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informs Armenian.

During the meeting, the ways of developing cooperation between the two countries in the domains of mutual interest were discussed. The interlocutors noted the importance of active Armenian-Slovak political dialogue and the importance of high-level mutual visits in order to strengthen this dialogue.

The deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership and comprehensive cooperation in various domains were on the agenda of the meeting between the FMs of Armenia and Slovakia.

Mirzoyan and Blanar reflected also on the security situation in the South Caucasus and the latest developments in the process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. In this connection, FM Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of rejecting the practice of using force or the threat of force, Azerbaijan’s return to the negotiation process, and continuing the negotiations on a peace treaty in accordance with the well-known principles.

And on the occasion of the meeting with his colleague from Slovakia, the Armenian FM made the following post on X, former Twitter: “Had very good meeting with my new Slovakia counterpart Juraj Blanár. Useful to take stock of our bilateral agenda, underlining readiness to further enhance ties in different areas, including in economy & in Armenia-EU format. Presented Armenia’s approaches in peace process in line with core principles.”
