Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev has met with Ambassador of Columbia to the country Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala.
The head of AZPROMO briefed the ambassador on the agency’s activities, highlighting its support based on the “single window” principle, export promotion mechanisms, and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, as well as potential trading partners. Abdullayev emphasized that AZPROMO goes beyond the functions of similar institutions by organizing various local and international events. He also praised AZPROMO’s cooperation with ProColombia, an agency that promotes Colombia’s tourism sector, investments and non-traditional exports.
Noting the political relations between the two countries, Ambassador Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala highlighted the potential prospects for organizing the activities of Colombian companies and the representative offices of foreign companies operating in his country in the Azerbaijani economy. He expressed Colombia`s interest in exporting products such as coffee, flowers and pharmaceuticals to Azerbaijan.
Following the meeting, they agreed on the exchange of information and provision of support by AZPROMO to coordinate the activities of entrepreneurs operating in both countries.
