TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian and Second Foreign Minister of Brunei Darussalam Dato Erywan Yusof discussed avenues for promotion of bilateral ties.
The two sides talked about issues of bilateral interest, including mutual ties, regional and international developments, and issues of the Muslim world in particular.
Amirabdollahian considered the meeting as a good opportunity to examine ways to develop relations between the two countries.
He explained Iran’s status in the field of modern and knowledge-based technologies, and expressed satisfaction with the formation of cooperation between the two countries in this field, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
Yusof, in turn, invited Amirabdollahian for a visit to Brunei Darussalam.
He reviewed cooperation between the two countries in different sectors, including in the areas related to modern and knowledge-based technologies, stressing the need to further expand bilateral cooperation.
Among the other topics discussed in the meeting were some bilateral consular issues, fighting extremism and Islamophobia, the Palestinian cause, the sanctions removal talks, and the developments in Ukraine.
