Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić voiced his position on the vote on the anti-Russian declaration, which will be held as part of the Council of Europe (CE) summit in Icelandic Reykjavik on May 16-17. He stated that he refuses to support this document.
“I made a decision because we will be left alone and under general attacks from Europe, which would not be very reasonable,” Vucic explained his position.
The head of Serbia also explained that Belgrade, with the adoption of an anti-Russian declaration without amendments by the Serbian side, would demonstrate the West’s readiness to “violate the integrity of Serbia and the UN Charter.” Vučić refused to travel to Reykjavik.
