I don’t think that Baku believes that the Russian side is impartial. Alen Simonyan, speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, stated this in a briefing with reporters in the NA Tuesday.
“I cannot say who Baku considers neutral. We [Armenia] do not avoid any contact, but I cannot say who Baku considers neutral. It has rejected on various platforms, at different times, in different ways.
I can’t say and I don’t think that Baku believes that the Russian side is impartial. One of the proofs of this is the fact that the Russian troops are still staying in Azerbaijan.
I don’t think that it is possible to attribute to Baku the idea that the Russian side is an impartial side,” said the speaker of the Armenian legislature.
