“The population living in the liberated areas has been included in the voter list of the upcoming snap presidential election. The same process will run there,” Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Tahir Budagov told AZERTAC reporter.
According to him, at the YAP’s 2021 congress, a new charter was approved, vesting the authority to nominate a candidate in the Board. This critical decision is slated for discussion in an imminent Board meeting. Budagov expressed a firm that Ilham Aliyev deserves this post with the policy he pursued over the past 20 years. The upcoming YAP Board meeting is anticipated to witness unanimous support for Aliyev’s nomination, reflecting a sentiment widely shared among patriotic Azerbaijani citizens, he added.
