Russia is Removing Some Units From Tokmak – Fedorov

The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, said that due to the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian military is partially evacuating its units from Tokmak to other occupied cities in the Zaporozhye region. He said this in a commentary to the Radio Liberty project “News of the Azov Region”.

“Every day our military advances step by step in the Zaporozhye direction towards Melitopol. What trend do we have regarding enemies? First of all, today we can already confirm the information that the enemy has withdrawn some of its units from Tokmak and Molochansk. For example, almost half of the employees were taken out of the Tokmat illegal “executive committee,” maybe even more. Some educational institutions were also evacuated, some FSB units were evacuated, and all military personnel also evacuated their relatives. Unfortunately, for now they are transporting them to temporarily occupied Melitopol. But, I am sure that this will definitely not last long,” Fedorov said.

Given the hostilities and Russian occupation of part of the southern territories of Ukraine, the editors are unable to obtain official confirmation of some of the testimony or independently verify them.
